With Alex Ovechkin and John Carlson out, Tom Wilson joins Caps’ leadership group

There were the organizational stalwarts in Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and John Carlson. There also were the younger players working their way up the ladder, providing voices in the room when needed. Then there were the offseason additions, particularly Zdeno Chara, who brought a different perspective and veteran experience.
