Post Politics Now: Lame-duck Congress returning to Washington with full agenda waiting

French President Emmanuel Macron will join Vice President Harris in a visit to NASA headquarters on Wednesday as part of his state visit to the United States.

Macron is the first foreign leader to be hosted by the Biden-Harris administration as part of a formal state visit. John Kirby, a White House spokesman, said Monday that the French leader will join Harris at the aeronautics and space agency’s Washington headquarters on Wednesday to highlight the partnership between the countries on space exploration, space science and climate issues. The bulk of the state visit’s events, Kirby added, will happen on Thursday, when Macron will meet with President Biden.
