Letter to the editor: Don’t let them blame humans
On Jan. 15, 2023, the underwater volcano Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai erupted in the South Pacific Ocean and spewed an amount of water vapor into the atmosphere equal to 10% of the previous levels of atmospheric water vapor.
Water vapor is the most plentiful and potent atmospheric greenhouse gas, making up 95% of all atmospheric greenhouse gases. With this 10% increase, we should expect warmer temperatures for a few years.
Radical environmentalists will try to blame the increase on human activity. You have been alerted; the real cause is the eruption of an underwater volcano.
