Dame Karen Pierce, British ambassador to the United States, noted that for herself and many Britons, there’s a duality of mourning Queen Elizabeth II and celebrating the new King Charles III. “There’s a saying: ‘The queen is dead, long live the king,’ ” Pierce said during The Post’s live broadcast of the procession of the queen’s coffin in Edinburgh, Scotland.
