Soros sharks, fresh off feast of Trump, circle Clarence Thomas
OPINION:
A ProPublica investigation into Clarence Thomas found that for 20-plus years, the Supreme Court justice “has been treated to luxury vacations by billionaire Republican donor Harlan Crow.”
Hmm. Wonder why ProPublica decided to look into Thomas now.
Could it be that George Soros is at it again?
Nah. Probably just a coincidence that fresh off the feeding of Donald Trump, served on a plate by MAGA-hating, George Soros-supported Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg — that amid all that, this new scandal of one of the high court’s most conservative, most consistently conservative, most rooted-in-limited-government-constitutional-principled conservatives, Justice Thomas, came to light.
Probably just a simple matter of pure dumb luck for Democrats and their blathering idiot friends in the media — and on the latter, at least 253 of which took $131 million of Soros-tied money between 2016 and 2020 — that they’ve just been handed a golden ticket of headline dreams, the kind that drumbeat, drumbeat, drumbeat away at the narrative of conservatives as criminals.
Probably a total meaningless twist of fate that thanks to the double-whammy of the Soros-fueled Trump indictment and the titillation — breaking news! Breaking news! — of these Thomas accusations, that nobody’s talking about inflation, the demise of the dollar as the world’s currency or the fact that China just sent warships into waters near Taiwan.
Nope, there’s nothing suspicious about the timing of ProPublica’s investigation of Thomas at all. After all, as the news organization noted, the news organization’s only had 20-plus years to look into the matter.
But then again — just for fun — lookie here.
“According to a study conducted by Media Research Center Business, … Soros has ties to some of the most influential people in the U.S. and foreign media,” TeleSur wrote in January. “The report has exposed connections between the liberal billionaire financier and 54 prominent media figures … includ[ing] reporters, anchors, columnists, editors, news executives and journalists.”
Interesting.
Specifically, the report found “Soros spent hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars to build his own ’network of media ties,’ … [and] between 2016 and 2020, Soros gave at least $131 million alone to influence 253 media groups such as the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), the Aspen Institute, The Marshall Project and ProPublica.”
And ProPublica.
ProPublica, for its part, acknowledged in 2018 and at other points in time that it took money from Soros.
But the organization scoffs at any accusations of bias.
For instance: “We had ’34,000’ donors last year. George Soros provided less than 2 percent of our revenue,” ProPublica wrote in one 2018 tweet.
Go home. Nothing to see here, folks — except, of course, these delicious headlines.
“Clarence Thomas Secretly Accepted Luxury Trips From Major GOP Donor,” ProPublica wrote.
And this, from NPR: “A major GOP donor took Justice Clarence Thomas on many trips not disclosed.”
And this, from USA Today: “Biden confronts Clarence Thomas scandal after luxury trips revealed.”
And this, from The Washington Post: “Clarence Thomas has reported receiving only two gifts since 2004.”
And this, from The Hill: “Democrats vow to investigate Justice Thomas.”
Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, chair of the Democrat-dominated Judiciary Committee, dutifully followed the ProPublica report with this remark: “The ProPublica report is a call to action, and the Senate Judiciary Committee will act.” Rhode Island Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse dutifully followed the ProPublica report with this remark: “This cries out for the kind of independent investigation that the Supreme Court — and only the Supreme Court, across the entire government — refused to perform.” Mouthpiece for the socialists, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, dutifully followed the ProPublica report with this remark — both escalating the chastisement of Thomas and widening the circle of so-called conservative criminality to rope in Chief Justice John Roberts: “This is beyond party or partisanship. This degree of corruption is shocking — almost cartoonish. Thomas must be impeached. Barring some dramatic change, this is what the Roberts court will be known for: rank corruption, erosion of democracy and the stripping of human rights.”
The show must go on.
Thomas, for his part, said via a statement released by the Supreme Court, that he was advised he didn’t need to disclose the gifts and travel.
“Early in my tenure at the court,” Thomas said, “I sought guidance from my colleagues and others in the judiciary, and was advised that this sort of personal hospitality from close personal friends, who did not have business before the court, was not reportable.”
In other words: No crime. No foul. But do Soros thugs care about such things? Nope. They care about political wins and little else.
Election 2024 dawns, Biden is an utter disaster — for all but the globalist Great Reset crowd, that is — and Americans are so disgusted and disillusioned with this White House’s destruction of all that’s exceptional about this nation that a fair election would probably send Democrats so far packing from public service that a Republican Party dominance would prevail for the next 50 or so years.
For leftists, it’s go-time or bust.
Soros, Biden, China, globalists, Democrats — they’re all on the same side, fighting for the same goal, gunning for the same vision. What is it? A crippled America that bows and cowers to a new world order that has no room for dissenting view, no space for free thought, no allowance for critical thinking or thinkers, no tolerance for the likes of Trump or Thomas or conservatives in general. These Soros sharks all smell blood and they’re in a frenzy to feed, and they’re circling to chomp as many influential conservatives as they can.
Patriots of America, take heed. You’re on their list, as well.
