Where Republican senators stand on voting for a Jan. 6 commission

On Wednesday, the House voted to approve legislation on establishing an independent commission to investigate the Capitol insurrection of Jan. 6. All Democratic representatives and 35 Republicans supported the bill.

The bill now moves to the Senate and could be on the floor for a vote as early as next week, but it faces an uncertain fate as GOP opposition grows. Below is a list of Republican senators and their position on the commission.
