Midterm elections live updates: Biden to seek to bolster New York Democrats this weekend

Heading into the final weekend before Election Day, President Biden is planning additional campaign stops in New York and Illinois as he tries to shore up support for Democrats in a challenging midterm environment. The White House said Biden on Sunday would visit Westchester County, N.Y., which is in the district of Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.), a prominent House member in a competitive race, and is key to the fortunes of New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D). Biden has also added an event on Saturday in Joliet, Ill., which is in the district of Rep. Bill Foster (D-Ill.), another Democrat in a tough race. Biden also plans to campaign Saturday with John Fetterman, the Democratic Senate nominee in Pennsylvania.
